Book Review - White Witch, Black Curse

White Witch, Black Curse

by Kim Harrison

Rating **** (4 stars)

There is not a lot of series that can make it to the seventh book and leave you feeling like you are still at the beginning of a story. It is not that there is not progression. The main characters have developed a lot. It is more like you get to know them in real time, layer by layer. You get to see them come to self realization, and then realize that self realization was wrong. They develop and win a way in your heart, and allow you to relax from a long day of work and kids.

Of course, at the same time they are busy defending the city from banshees. I do find it funny that Rachel can interact with demons yet she is still terrified of banshees. As you continue on in the series you will once again see things being built off of this book. Yet, I am not sure if there is a book in this series where that is not the case. Point being, read these books in order. The order is below (not including the short stories).
